The food is extremely good and very nice atmosphere. The prices aren't bad and their bartender really knows how to make great drinks.
Wow! Service! Food! Restaurant! Menus! Everything is always clean and friendly and the food is always amazing! This place is how it should be!
I've always enjoyed Guapo's for over 9 years now. I cannot believe I haven't wrote a review for this place. I like the family vibes, restaurant vibes - singing waiters with maracas and drum thingy, while wearing a sombrero is always a fun with my family and friends. My go-to dish: shrimp diablo fajitas. I can never get enough of their fresh tortillas that I always have a need for more for this dish. Guacamole made fresh is also a win. Their drinks, especially their tequila shots are yum, during their Cinco de Mayo week. Lastly, I like their chimichangas and enchiladas are yum if you're feeling the whole Mexican rice, beans and cheese entree. Overall, you can pretty much order any dish and it's a win. Con - their tamal de elote was alright. I want a corn elote on a cob or tamale in pork, but they don't have them. Service - fast and attentive. Kid friendly place with coloring sheet and crayons, high chair available. Price - it is pricy, we typically go on special occasions, or about 3-4x a year. Enjoy!
Let's taco 'bout Guapo's--it was the spot for our end-of-year celebration with my coworkers. The restaurant had ample seating for our large group, which made things easy. We started with guacamole for the table. It was fresh and flavorful--I couldn't stop munching on chips! For my entree, I ordered the Birria Tacos. They came with three well-stuffed tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. The tacos were tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. The consommé on the side was rich and savory--perfect for dipping and added an extra layer of flavor to the tacos. I found the rice to be a nice complement, but the refried beans were on the salty side. The service, however, wasn't as impressive. I had to ask the waitress three times for water, which was frustrating, especially when I saw her chatting with a friend. I tried to stay patient, given we were a large party, but it stood out as a downside. One fun observation: this seems to be a hot spot for birthday celebrations. During our visit, the staff sang happy birthday at least three or four times, which was fun but can be loud. Overall, Guapo's serves up delicious Mexican food, but the service experience left room for improvement. It's worth a visit, especially if you're in the mood for good guacamole and tacos!
My sister and I love a seafood enchiladas and test a Mexican restaurant by their ability to either do it well or not at all. They do it very well here. Not too salty, but well-seasoned. They came with the usual sides of rice and refried beans, which were good, too. The chips and salsa were good-- I improved mine by adding the spicier salsa that I requested. We were surprised to be seated so soon after we arrived because it was a Sunday, early afternoon. Our server was not great. We ordered club soda and grenadine and were told they didn't have it at the bar. The Manager happened by and got them for us. I was charged for the vegetable fajitas instead of the seafood enchiladas, but didn't notice until I'd already left the restaurant. It was a little difficult to communicate because my Spanish was worse than his English lol! The restaurant is festive, well-lit, and roomy and I would return to attempt a better experience from a service aspect.
This is a fun place that has great food! We came and ordered the ceviche and chicken and steak fajitas. The ceviche was good and had a nice mix of seafood in it, not the best ceviche I've ever had (I think Inca Social or Pisco y Nazca is better) but I still enjoyed it. The chicken and steak fajitas were great, I would say I think the chicken fajitas are better at Uncle Julios though. I liked they kept refilling the tortillas (where were delicious). This place looks like it can accommodate very large groups and many people were celebrating their birthday here (they come around and sing you happy birthday with instruments). Because of this, I would say that this is not the best place to go for a quiet intimate dinner but the atmosphere is rather more loud and exciting!
Sunday night dinner here was a memorable one. Great place they played nice music . Party atmosphere at the restaurant. Very well decorated we were seated outside. The complimentary chips snd three salsas were tasty. We ordered Calamari yummy lot of Calamari with two sauces . We also ordered steak and chicken fajitas. Yummy . Our two drinks were very good . Patronas drink my husband ordered he loved it so he got a second one.Mine was spicy Margarita. Very good not too sweet . Loved their fried ice cream .Coming back soon. Loved how the staff worked together.
Guapos is THE spot for happy hour, celebrations or just regular dining. It is a sure spot for good customer service, consistent good food, lively vibes and reasonable prices. If i had to recommend 2 dishes to order at Guapos; it would be the ceviche mixto and the combo (steak and chicken) fajitas. You won't regret it!
This is the restaurant you can feel good vibes with friendly staff! The foods are always excellent here! My favorite is the seafood soup! It might be a fusion Mexican food, but the taste is really good and a lot of big seafoods inside. I like to see and hear the birthday celebration song here and there! This is a great place to celebrate birthdays!
